What does the term "WELLNESS" mean?
According to the American Heritage Medical Dictionary
"The condition of good physical, mental and emotional health, especially when maintained by an appropriate diet, exercise, and other lifestyle modifications."
Wellness is not just a condition but a mind set. It is a way of living that promotes health in all areas of your life. It really involves learning how to balance your job, family, activities and other unknown influences without letting them throw you off balance and out of a healthy lifestyle.
Our job is to teach you how to make that transition and then coach you to drive it to higher health. Wellness means being able to do what you want to do physically and emotionally because you have balance between your physical health, mental health and spiritual health.
Diet is critical to all aspects of your health. If you are eating unhealthy foods your mental, physical and spiritual health is compromised. The body requires high quality foods to operate at a higher level of health. You wouldn't put cheap gas in a Ferrari would you? The Standard American Diet is cheap low grade fuel for your body. Living foods; vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, nuts and seeds are high quality fuel!
